CodeStory Brings Placement Preparation Tools Together on One Platform
The platform combines coding practice, assessments, interview simulations and career-focused courses for students preparing for IT roles

As campus recruitment and entry-level technology hiring become increasingly skills-focused, students often need to prepare for coding rounds, aptitude tests, technical interviews and resume screening at the same time. CodeStory is a placement preparation platform designed to bring these activities together in one place, giving learners a consolidated view of practice and progress.
Founded by Anil Yadav, Founder and CEO, CodeStory brings together tools for data structures and algorithms (DSA), aptitude, SQL, online assessments, mock interviews, resumes and career-focused courses. Anuraag Singh is also associated with the platform as a co-founder. Its central dashboard is designed to help students identify what to work on next and track preparation against the companies they are targeting.
Company-Wise DSA Practice and Online Judging
For coding preparation, CodeStory offers pattern-wise and company-wise DSA practice, with question sets mapped to recruitment preparation for 99 companies. Students can organise practice around the kinds of coding problems associated with companies such as Google, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and other major employers. The aim is to make preparation feel closer to a real company-wise coding interview while helping learners recognise reusable problem-solving patterns—not just memorise individual answers. With its structured practice, CodeStory aims to offer Indian students a LeetCode-style environment focused on logic building, consistency and step-by-step learning.
The platform also uses an online judge that runs submitted solutions against hidden test cases on its servers and supports multiple programming languages. This gives learners a way to check whether a solution works across test conditions, rather than relying only on a sample output or a self-reported completion status.
Practice for Realistic Hiring Assessments
CodeStory includes timed assessment practice modelled on campus recruitment formats associated with companies such as TCS NQT, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture. Alongside campus-hiring preparation, company-wise coding practice can help students prepare for technical interviews at product-led companies such as Google and Amazon. The sections are structured to reflect the pace of recruitment tests, helping learners practise time management as well as accuracy under pressure.
SQL practice runs queries against a real PostgreSQL database, with submissions evaluated on the rows returned, including edge cases. The platform also includes an algorithm visualiser that can show a solution’s steps using the learner’s own input, offering another way to understand how an approach works.
Interview Simulations That Go Beyond Coding
Alongside conventional mock interviews, CodeStory highlights an AI debugging round in which students work through a broken, production-style service with help from an AI assistant and then explain their fix. The format is designed to practise debugging and communication together—skills that can matter when discussing technical decisions in an interview.
Its voice-based theory interviews ask spoken follow-up questions based on a learner’s responses, with a model answer included in the report. These simulations give students an opportunity to practise explaining concepts aloud, rather than preparing only written answers.
Courses and System Design Learning
CodeStory also lists structured courses in DSA, MERN full-stack development, MERN with AI, Java full-stack development and DevOps. Courses are offered through online and campus batches, with mentor support described as part of the learning model.
For students preparing for more advanced technical rounds, the platform includes step-by-step system design chapters. The material covers interview structure and the concepts involved in designing systems for large numbers of users, helping learners approach a broad subject in stages.
A Dashboard for Daily Preparation
The platform’s dashboard is intended to turn a broad placement goal into manageable daily tasks. It displays suggested next steps, a short plan for the day and progress related to selected target companies. CodeStory says its free plan includes lessons, practice and mock interviews, positioning the service as a starting point for students who want to explore the platform before committing to paid learning options.
CodeStory describes itself as a bootstrapped, student-first platform and says it aims to keep its published numbers transparent and verifiable. As with any placement preparation tool, outcomes will depend on a student’s consistency, existing skills and the requirements of individual employers; the platform is intended to support preparation rather than guarantee recruitment results.
