MXD India: Dinesh and Uttam Mali Build a Growing Indian Electronics Brand Around Quality and Affordability

New Delhi, India: MXD India, an Indian electronics and mobile accessories brand established in 2016, is building its presence in the consumer electronics market with a product portfolio focused on quality, reliability, modern design and affordability. Founded by brothers Dinesh Mali and Uttam Mali, the brand offers a wide range of accessories including chargers, data cables, earphones, headphones, neckbands, Bluetooth speakers, power banks, AirPods and other mobile accessories. The brand’s official website, MXD India, presents its broader product and brand offering.

From a Mobile Accessories Shop to a Brand

The story of MXD India began before the brand itself was established. Dinesh Mali, who comes from Jalore, Rajasthan, entered the mobile accessories business in 2010 by selling mobile phone covers and opened his first shop in Mumbai. The early experience provided a foundation for understanding customer requirements, product demand and the rapidly changing mobile accessories market.

In 2016, MXD was established as a brand. Dinesh Mali and his brother Uttam Mali subsequently worked together to expand the business, strengthen its product portfolio and develop MXD as an Indian electronics and mobile accessories name.

Expanding Across Electronics and Mobile Accessories

What started with mobile phone covers gradually expanded into multiple categories. Today, MXD India’s portfolio includes chargers, data cables, USB cables, earphones, headphones, neckbands, Bluetooth speakers, power banks, AirPods and other mobile accessories.

The company’s official website identifies chargers and cables among its best-selling product categories, reflecting the importance of everyday charging and connectivity products within its portfolio. By expanding across complementary categories, MXD has sought to build a broader product ecosystem for consumers looking for mobile and electronic accessories.

Made in India Manufacturing Focus

A key part of MXD India’s positioning is its focus on Indian manufacturing. The brand manufactures its chargers in India under the “Made in India” initiative, while the company states that its manufacturing unit is located in Delhi.

This manufacturing focus forms part of the brand’s wider effort to develop electronic products while contributing to the growing Indian electronics manufacturing ecosystem. Alongside manufacturing, MXD continues to emphasise product quality, reliability and affordability as central elements of its offering.

Dinesh Mali and Uttam Mali: Building Together

Dinesh Mali and Uttam Mali have worked together as brothers to develop MXD India from its early mobile-accessories operations into a broader electronics brand. Their approach has centred on combining business expansion with a focus on customer satisfaction and accessible pricing.

The brand’s tagline, “Quality for Everyone,” reflects this stated philosophy. Rather than positioning electronics only around premium pricing or advanced specifications, MXD India aims to make everyday electronic accessories available at prices intended to be accessible to a wider customer base.

Growing Presence Across Indian Markets

MXD India states that its presence extends beyond its initial Mumbai operations, with a footprint in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Jaipur. The brand also maintains an online presence through e-commerce platforms, allowing its products to reach customers beyond its physical market locations.

The combination of offline presence, online distribution and an expanding product portfolio provides MXD with multiple channels through which it can engage with consumers. For a brand operating in the highly competitive mobile accessories market, maintaining product availability and a consistent customer experience across these channels remains an important part of building long-term market presence.

Innovation, Quality and Customer Focus

As the Indian electronics and accessories market continues to evolve, consumer expectations increasingly extend beyond basic functionality. Design, reliability, product variety and value for money have become important considerations for buyers.

MXD India’s product strategy reflects these changing expectations through a combination of everyday accessories and consumer electronics. Its emphasis on chargers, cables, audio products, speakers and power banks allows the brand to address several common use cases within the mobile and personal electronics ecosystem.

The Road Ahead for MXD India

From a single mobile-accessories shop to a growing electronics brand, MXD India’s journey reflects the entrepreneurial partnership of Dinesh Mali and Uttam Mali. The brothers’ progression from the early mobile accessories business to a diversified product portfolio illustrates their effort to develop a recognisable Indian electronics brand around quality and affordability.

As MXD India continues to expand its presence and product categories, its stated focus remains on innovation, product quality and customer satisfaction. The combination of Indian manufacturing, broader distribution and a growing range of electronic accessories provides the foundation for the brand’s next phase of development.
