Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Sells Over 80,000 Advance Tickets as Fans Build Excitement for November Release

The upcoming mythological epic Ramayana: Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, has recorded a strong response in advance ticket sales ahead of its theatrical release on November 5, 2026. The film sold more than 80,000 tickets during the opening phase of domestic bookings, signalling substantial audience interest in one of the year’s most anticipated Indian productions.

Advance bookings opened on October 20, coinciding with Dussehra. Within roughly 24 hours, the film had sold around 85,000 tickets for its opening day, according to early trade estimates. The initial figures underline the anticipation surrounding director Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.

Advance Sales Generate Nearly ₹5 Crore

The film’s opening-day advance bookings generated approximately ₹4.88 crore in gross ticket sales, according to early industry tracking figures. Another estimate put the total at nearly ₹4.96 crore, illustrating how reported collections can vary depending on the tracking method and timing.

The figures include bookings made across thousands of shows in cities throughout India. Hindi-language screenings accounted for the overwhelming majority of early sales, while bookings for other language versions were expected to develop separately.

The early response is particularly notable because the film remains more than two weeks away from its scheduled theatrical release. Advance sales could continue to change as additional shows become available and promotional activity intensifies.

Delhi-NCR and Mumbai Lead Ticket Demand

Delhi-NCR and Mumbai emerged as major markets for the film’s opening-day bookings. Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru also featured among the cities recording significant interest.

Demand has been particularly visible for premium cinema formats. Some high-end screenings in Mumbai have listed tickets at prices reaching approximately ₹2,770, reflecting the cost of premium seating and advanced viewing formats rather than standard admission prices.

Ticket prices vary considerably depending on the theatre, city, screening technology and seat category. Regular screenings are available at lower prices, while luxury recliners and premium large-format presentations can cost substantially more.

The strong early sales across major urban markets suggest that the film is attracting attention from audiences willing to reserve seats well before its release.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash Lead the Cast

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, and Yash takes on the role of Ravana. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and forms the first instalment of a planned two-part cinematic adaptation.

The production aims to bring the familiar epic to a large theatrical format, with extensive visual effects, elaborate sets and a prominent ensemble cast. Sunny Deol is also part of the project, adding further star power to the film.

The story draws on the traditional narrative of Rama, Sita and Ravana, which has been retold through literature, theatre, television and cinema across generations.

The combination of a widely recognised story and a high-profile cast has helped generate interest well before the film reaches cinemas.

Promotional Campaign Adds to the Anticipation

The advance-booking launch coincided with the release of promotional material highlighting Yash’s portrayal of Ravana. The campaign has helped keep the film in public discussion as the release date approaches.

However, early ticket sales alone cannot determine the film’s eventual box-office performance. Audience reviews, word of mouth, show availability and competition from other releases will all influence its theatrical run.

The production’s performance will also be assessed across domestic and international markets after its release.

November 5 Release Becomes the Next Milestone

With bookings underway, the focus now shifts to whether Ramayana: Part 1 can sustain its early momentum during the remaining pre-release period. The initial figures provide an encouraging start, although final opening-day collections will depend on continued demand and the number of screenings available.

For the makers, the next challenge is to convert the strong advance interest into sustained audience turnout after the film opens. The coming days should offer a clearer picture of the scale of its opening and the response across different regions and languages.
