HYDERABAD, TELANGANA, INDIA — One-month-old Maryam Ali from Hyderabad, Telangana, has been recognized by the International Book of Records as the “Youngest to Visit the Holy Kaaba in Makkah for Umrah,” according to the record listing provided.

Maryam travelled from Hyderabad, India, to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with her parents, Mr. Mushtaq Ali and Mrs. Arbina Sultana, when she was just one month old. During the family’s visit, she had the opportunity to visit the Holy Kaaba and touch it as part of the Umrah journey.

The recognition highlights an unusual milestone involving an infant’s visit to one of Islam’s most sacred sites. Umrah is a pilgrimage to Makkah that Muslims may undertake outside the dates of the annual Hajj. For Maryam’s family, the journey has become a deeply meaningful memory connected with faith and gratitude.

Speaking about the experience, Maryam’s parents expressed their happiness and thankfulness:

“As her parents, we are immensely proud of Maryam and deeply grateful to Allah for blessing her with such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. It is beautifully believed that it is not always the parents who carry their child to the House of Allah; sometimes, it is the child who becomes the means of carrying her parents closer to Allah’s House. Maryam’s Umrah at just one month old is a blessing we will cherish forever.”

The family described the visit as a blessing they expect to cherish for years to come. Their statement reflects the spiritual significance they attach to Maryam’s early visit to the Holy Kaaba and the role the experience has played in bringing their family closer to their faith.

The International Book of Records listing provides a public reference for the recognition. A related video has also been shared on YouTube, offering an additional link associated with the milestone.

The Holy Kaaba, located within Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, holds a central place in Muslim worship. Muslims around the world turn towards the Kaaba during their daily prayers, and visiting it is a deeply significant aspiration for many. Umrah is a pilgrimage that can be performed at different times of the year, unlike Hajj, which takes place during specific days of the Islamic calendar. Against this spiritual backdrop, Maryam’s early visit stands out as an unusual and meaningful family milestone.

The family’s experience is not only about the age at which Maryam visited the Holy Kaaba; it is also about the emotions and gratitude attached to the journey. For parents, a child’s earliest experiences often become lasting family memories. In Maryam’s case, her parents say that being able to bring her to Makkah at such a young age is a blessing they will remember throughout their lives.
